A WALK IN RAIN

Alone set a journey self protected,
every step had a question,
WHY is that one name running like a timer in a stop watch;
WHAT AM i,enjoying??? a DREAM within ME or the WILD breeze
ITS THE TRUE me WHEN i WALK IN RAIN:)


A walk has a scene realing in my mind,unknowingly have a smiling face;
its like im given up myself walking back in a race;
mind tuned to a song ,almost lost in my way,every time is the same loyal dream,
its me flying high in a cloudy cream:)

bloody hope dreams to reframe broken heart,
what shall i believe , me or my inner voice;
im always respecting and resting with time;
will there be a answer soon for all my question, there s always a infinite hope in me,yes!! i will wait for that perfect time :)still ALONE :)

INDIAN AIR FORCE

SERVICE SELECTION BOARD ,(feb22 to feb27 -2010)

FW(P)/WMT/80591,1 AFSB DEHRADUN.

I recieved my call letter on feb 1st for flying branch ssb , i was put up to the toughtest selection board ,that was in Dehradun ,UP.i was in serious delema to decide how to start my journey since it was on feb 22nd . hardly had 22 days for me to plan and get done all the requisites from my colg . it took more then a week to get done with bonafide from colg.Tickets were booked on feb 5th NIZZAMUDDIN SAMPERKRANTHI(bang to old delhi), also got return reservation for 2nd march, karnataka express from (new delhi to bang).

18th feb(thursday)

early morning at 6:15am left mysore and was there in bang around10 am, i was suppose to catch up train for old delhi in yashwanthpur junction at 1:30pm.finally it was exact 1:30 pm samparkranthi diparture from yashwanthpur. strange ppl around my coach, there was one sardarji, one from haryana(business man) and other from delhi (doctor in bang).feb 18th was a long day. i almost finished my incomplete work with upkar and arihant publications.

19th feb(friday)

ppl in my coach started to interact, it was nice to know them all. it was a very short day with many new frnds in my coach.

20th feb(saturday)

finally landed to my destination around 11:30am,got down in nizzamuddin station. evening had a walk in india gate and rastrapati bhavan. met S/L C.G.DEEPAK(deepanna) in indian habitat centre,new delhi took some suggestions for ssb. I saw AIR CHIEF MARSHALL P.V.NAYAK (Pradeep Vasant Nayak) inside indian habbitat centre.

21st feb(sunday)

left delhi around 12:30pm to dehradun. it took 8hrs to reach in bus. it was late around 9 to reach D.R.D.O guest house. tomoro morning reporting time at 7am near mco in dehradun railway station. so i finished dinner n went early to bed.

22nd feb(monday)

7 am sharp in front of mco railway station.announcement from the iaf staff to carry 4 things a)call letter,b)writing material since direct visit to PABT EXAM centre ,c)original documents d)journey tickets outside from our jouney bag. bags were dumped in the tempo and v were made to seated in a van.

well it was a chilled cold climate , entered 1 AFSB(AIR FORCE SELECTION BOARD) DEHRADUN . It was my first fall in ,in the ground . had verification with my document. out of 193 in total for flying branch. one was rejected in verification round.had ten min tea break.AND they distributed chest numbers. my first chest number was 18. 192 candidates in a hall .WING COMMANDER Mr.VENKATESH gave the opening address,brief about the schedule of tests, duration of stay, administrative arrangements and certain do's and dont's, and certain displinary requirements.

around 10:45 v were seated in examination hall . for pilot apptitude battery test(PABT).it was all abt meter readings, direction of planes . time management is major stratergy to clear this test.in PABT

3 categories:

a)written test:Instrument Reading(magnetic compass,gyroscope,Air speed indicator,altimeter.artificial horizon

turn or bank indicator,climb and descent indicator)

b)The light control test:Sensory Motor Apparatus

c)drum test:control of velocity test.

uff it was a toughest horrible paper i have ever faced.out of 192,112 were in for the machine test,in instrument reading test i was short of time to complete only 7/15 in 10min.it was a screening test i dint make it in. but there was an option for me since i had cleared my EKT(Engineering Knowledge Test) and had my call letter which was suppose to be in varanasi, i showed it to the wing commander and was in for the next screening round

it was afternoon 2:30 results were announced and one of my frnd was out in day one screening.i had made so many frnds b4 results were announced and most of them were leaving the place since they were screened out .it was a hectic start. but was more excited for the day 2 .v were alloated rooms , chest no.18after next round selection my new chest no was 6.ch.no6 in room no4.

23rd(tuesday)

119 ppl freshers landed 1afsb for technical, now there was 119(technical candidates+112flying).after machine test 112 was screened to 30 in number.and 119+30 were given with the intelligence test(it was again day 2 screening test), it included verbal, non verbal, picture perception and group discussion. i cleared all the three round n picture perception and indivisual discussion was my best performance. 2:30 pm again screening results. it was really tough 119+30 . out of 149, 78 were short listed and i was finally cleared my phase 1 in ssb , i was out in my tears and recieved new chest no.19 from wing commander Mukesh Tiwari n 23rd was my day.around 4pm. wing commander ANIL was my group pyscologist. phase 2 physcological test started

round 1) THEMATIC APPERCEPTION TEST(TAT)commanly known as picture story writing.abt 12 picture slides were shown in succession,each slide is kept displayed for 30 sec and 4 mins time is given to form a story on basis of pic shown shown has a situation which gave base of story .i enjoyed this round. invariably the series of pictures contains a blank slide where v candidates gets an opportunity to form a virtual scene and write few words on the imaginary situation.it was exausting at the end of blank pic 12.round 2)WAT(WORD ASSOCIATION TEST)- in this test a series of 60 words shown to candidates one by one and ashed to form a meaningful sentence.each word showed is kept exposed for nearly 15 secs, within this time got record the word and write in the form of meaning full words. i was tired at the end to form meaning full sentence.it was then 6:30pm. there was one more test3)SRT(SITUATION REACTION TEST) my brain was over stress in managing time and writing simultaneously,it was 60 big question s to b answered in 30 mins. i left 8 questions unanswered.it was already 7pm, one more surprise was remaining , and wing commander Tiwarianounced test no4)SD(SELF DESCRIPTION TEST) for the first time i found myself difficult to write abt me for 20 min more. it was a tired hectic stressful day of my ssb

24th(wednesday) ssb-phase 2 continues

GTO'S TEST

EARLY morning 7:30am ch.no 1-32 fall in and sent to play station ground .

round1 GD- 10min choosing our choice among 3 given.

10min on the topic given my GTO wing cammander Barath.

round 2 GPE(GROUP PLANNING EXERCISE)-my groupmates frm ch.no 17(dipti shika singh),chest no18(Manu),chest no19(anitha),chest no.20(pranjali),chest no 21(swathi),ch.no22(Rithika),ch.23(sweta),ch.no24(smithanjali).i dint do this round well since it was a problem solving round in very less time. a painted model table as a number of problems which as to be solved by 4 ncc cadets in a given time , i performed bad. 30 secs given to read n understand the question , and 3 min to solve the problem. and 10 min to discuss with group mates, swathi concluded the test.

round 3: GTO's OUT DOOR TEST

A)PGT(PROGRESSIVE GROUP TASK) 8 members working together with four hurdle areas to be passed in 45 min, and given with three obstacles bali, plank, and load. and had 100 rules for every new step v took in crossing

B) HALF PGT-8 was divided into 4members

C)CT(COMMAMD TASK)- each indivisual plays a cammando role n recommends 2 ppl for help from gto.each indivisual should cammand over their subordinates and should complete the task. 3 of them recommended ch.no19 and thats me. ch no 17,18,23. i took ch.no17 and ch.no 24 and completed my task b4 time

D)INDIVISUAL OBSTACLES:had 7 hurdels includes high jump, long jump, tiger jump(tyre jump),beam balancing, burma bridge,9ft rope climbing,monkey crossing. out of seven i did 1st 4. time given was 3 min i was satisfied.

E)LECTURETTE - given 3 topics out of which one to b chosen and 3 mins to prepare and 3 min to present. wow i got the topic job oppurtunity according to education.

F)FGT(FINAL GROUP TASK).

wow wat a superb day 2:30pm all tired back to dinning hall had lunch and rushed to trip around dehradun, since v were given gate pass permission from 2:30pm to 7:00 pm. 10 of us my roomates, from ch. no11(ankitha),ch.no12(indu sheron).ch.no13(deepika singla),ch.no 14(himali),ch.no 15(pawan preet),ch no16(anubaav),ch no 17(dipti shika),ch no 18(manu),ch.no 19(ANITHA.N),ch no 20(pranjali) . v visited buddha temple.

25th (thursday)

MY first interview in INDIAN AIR FORCE . ch.no 19 at 1:30pm. i was interviewed by GROUP CAPTAIN K.SREENIVASULLU. It was exact one hour when i came back. superb experience talking to group captain and he hand shaked and wished good luck.

26th(friday)

first 32 where given off. v planned to leave to robbers cave , auesome place one must see if u r in dehradun.in between caves water flows and v r suppose to walk with hawai chappal opp to the flow. in the middle of the caves there was a small tea stall prepared maggi noodles , it was a superb time in the chilled weather. roamed ellora city, tasted ellora's best pastries, had MC.D burger and rushed to iaf gate .

27th feb (saturday)

this day i dreamt b4 my start to ssb, and finally i made it till my conference, it was 10am i got my turn to enter the conference. i found 22 ppl in conference table includes wing cammanders, 4 group captains, and one president MR.P.N PRADHAN. i was in complete formal suit, very confident, excited to see iaf president, entered the hall, wished them, few questions were asked. final results for next medical test was announced out of 78, 22 was on list 2 for flying and 20 for technical, ch.no 19 was not on list. i was not sad , infact my group mates 3 had made it to medical . it was again a proud moment to except the fact and decide to must try again.

28th-delhi,mayur vihar,janpath road,aksharadhama,holi pooja.

1st-holi, aunty uncle anniversary,akila's b'day party with shalu, neelu , rachana deedee.

2nd-old delhi, shallu,karishma s house in dwarka,kamala nagar, evening 11:30pm kk exp.
